Our History & Background
Anjali Academy of Management & Technology (AAMT) is a premier study centre under Netaji Subhas Open University (NSOU), run as a unit of the Anjali Social Welfare Research Foundation (ASWRF). ASWRF is an ISO 9001:2015 certified organization, registered under Registration No. S/1L/56029 of 2008-2009.
Under the visionary leadership of our President, Prof. (Dr.) Biswaranjan Ghorai, and Secretary, Prof. (Dr.) Mrinal Maity, the academy has evolved to meet global challenges, focusing on rural development, physical wellness, environmental awareness, and socio-economic empowerment through quality education and hands-on skill training.

Our Mission
To foster community development and uplift all sections of society, including rural and underprivileged communities, through targeted programs in education, health, physical wellness, and environment.
Our Core Objectives
- Imparting job-oriented vocational training (Tailoring, IT, Fire Safety, Yoga, etc.) to promote self-reliance.
- Special focus on women, children, the elderly, and remote rural communities.
- Distributing resources (food, health support, clothing, school supplies) to underprivileged families and disaster areas.
- Running environmental sustainability drives (tree plantation, Swachh Bharat campaigns) to build eco-awareness.
Three Years of Dedicated Service & Activity
A summary of our community development initiatives, outreach, and social impact programs over the recent financial years:
- Health Camps & Medical Aid: Organized free health check-up camps in rural communities, serving over 350 people. Distributed basic medicines and health awareness leaflets.
- Educational Empowerment: Provided free drawing classes for over 60 children. Distributed books and stationery kits to school students to ensure better access to basic amenities.
- Nutrition & Welfare: Conducted food distribution camps across 5 villages and provided clothing support to more than 100 families.
- Skill & Yoga Training: Held yoga training sessions in local schools and community centers. Summer vacation training camps saw enthusiastic participation from rural children.
- Flagship Vacation Training: Trained over 300 children in art, yoga, and basic computer knowledge with overwhelming community support.
- Yoga & Wellness: Maintained daily yoga training for youth and senior citizens. Organised special awareness and wellness sessions for women.
- Educational Support: Expanded free drawing classes to 3 new localities. Enhanced book and school supply distribution in remote hamlets.
- Community Celebrations: Celebrated Republic Day and National Festivals with cultural programs, drawing competitions, and community lunches.
- Environmental Efforts: Initiated tree plantation drives in partnership with local schools.
- Skill Development: Maintained a dedicated training centre offering courses in Handcrafts and Basic computer education.
- Skill & Vocational Camps: Vacation training for over 250 children covering drawing, yoga, spoken English, and moral education.
- Support to Schooling: Ensured continued access to learning kits for underprivileged school-going children and distributed clothing.
- Food & Health Support: Distributed nutritious food kits to over 500 underprivileged individuals. Conducted health awareness sessions in local clubs and panchayat halls.
- Disaster & Winter Relief: Distributed food to flood-affected areas. Conducted winter clothing donation programs in Panskura and slum areas of Panskura R.S.
- Environmental Campaign: Under our "Green Mission," planted over 150 trees in partnership with school children and panchayat members.
- Social Workshops: Held awareness campaigns for Swachh Bharat Abhijan, mosquito net usage, and bio-organic agriculture at Surarpool with agricultural experts.
Future Activity Plan (2024-2025 & 2025-2026)
To address the growing needs of our community, the Anjali Social Welfare Research Foundation plans to implement the following key initiatives:
1. Mobile Health Clinics
Launching Mobile Medical Units to reach remote villages, providing free check-ups, first-aid, basic medicines, and mother & child health education.
2. Skill Development Centre
Establishing a Skill Training Centre for tailoring & stitching (specifically for women), basic computer training, spoken English, and soft skills.
3. Women Empowerment Projects
Organizing dedicated programs including Self-Help Group (SHG) training, health & hygiene awareness, and legal awareness camps.
4. Environmental Sustainability
Expanding our green mission with monthly tree plantation drives, school-based eco clubs, and clean village campaigns with Swachh Bharat focus.
5. School Sponsorship Program
Identifying 50+ underprivileged children to support with annual school fees coverage, school uniforms, shoes, books, and one-on-one mentoring.
6. Digital Learning Hubs
Setting up community e-learning centres with computers/tablets, online learning resources, and volunteer tutors to support digital literacy.
